Ich habe heute mal meinen Host Family Letter verfasst und würde mich nun sehr über Verbesserungsvorschläge freuen 
Dear Host Family!
First of all I want to say thank you for reading my letter and for giving me the opportunity to live almost a year in your family. In the text below I want to show you a little bit who I am and why I want to got to the U.S. for a year.
Who am I? Well, that’s a good question. I’m a 14-years old girl called Nora. I live in Germany, more precisely in southern bavaria. A normal day of my week starts with going to school. At the moment I visit the 10th grade of a grammar school. I think maths is fun, even if I’m not very good in this subject. I also love english and I really enjoy speaking it. I’m in the team of the pupil’s magazine of my school and I really love this, because I enjoy writing articles and doing interviews with teachers. After school has finished I usually go home and do my homework. Afterwards, I mostly have tabletennis – training or fluete – lessons. I fancy doing sports and I hope I can try some new sports on a high school, that would be very great.
I live together with my mother, my two brothers (leo – 10yrs, lukas – 16yrs) and my cat lilly. My parents are divorced and so I see my father only every second weekend. I love my whole family a lot and on the weekend I spend much time with them. We do things like hiking, climbing or biking. But I also love meeting my friends on the weekend, reading books, drawing pictures or just listen to music.
Music – that’s a good headword. I like almost every style of music, but I think, the style I like the most is Rock/Pop. I love Bands like 5SOS (an australian boygroup, the musicstyle is a little bit like the musicstyle of OneDirection) or Sunrise Avenue (a finnish band). I think the music I like discribes me very good. I’m almost always good – humored and funny.
But I’m also interested in different cultures and that’s why I love travelling a lot. I hope the year in the U.S. gives me the chance to live the american livestyle and to get to know how people in the USA live like. I also hope I can see the United States from another angle of view than tourists.
