Hallo;) Könnte mir jemand bei meinem Hostfamily letter helfen? Also verbessern und mir tipps geben was noch fehlt?
Dear hostfamily,
first I want to thank you for reading my letter and give me the chance to introduce myself and my life in Germany to you.
My name is XX, but my friends and my family call me XX. I was born on XX in Solingen, where I now live. There are three generations in our house, my grandparents, my parents, my sister and me. My relationship to my parents is really good and I am happy to have them as my family. My parents have a own butcher-shop, so they have not much time for me and my sister on the weekdays. But when they have time for us , we always do something together. My younger sister Katrin is eleven years of age. With my sister I got really well. We always help each other. Of course we argue sometimes , but who doesn´t?
I am in a ninth class of August Dicke Gymnasium, where I will take my Abitur ( like English A Levels) in 2016. I have quite no problems to manage school and I also get along well with my classmates and the teachers . School is most of the time fun for me, because I have many friends in my class and we have a really good atmosphere. My favorite subjects are German, which is my Native language, biology and history with literature, which is my compulsory optional subject. By now I learn English as my first and Latin as my second foreign language. I less prefer the subjects Latin, Mathematics and Physics.
One of my main hobbies is reading. I always had a big book collection. By now I sometimes read English books , because I think the English language is more beautiful than German. In my free time I also dive, by the reason I love the water and the underwater world. I feel free underwater and i forget my problems. I am a lifeguard by the DLRG , because I want to help people and safe lives. I am interested in the first aid and literature. I want to get an author in my future, because I like to write creative texts by my own. In my spare time , I also teach smaller children in swimming and I act as a godmother in a fifth class, so I know what it means to take care about children. When I see a smile on their faces , I always feel good. I think it is one of the most important things that people can swim and this is my aim in life. Swimming is not only a sport ! Besides I have experiences with the first aid, because I worked as a lifeguard in an open air bad last summer and I have an first aid certificate. I like to deal with other people, especially children, because I think you can always learn something new from them and I love the smile on their faces.
I love to practice my hobbies and I cannot live without any sport. But I am also open for new things. In my free time I also like to meet my friends, go shopping or go to the cinema with them.
My friends and my family are really important for me , because they always being there for me. I think the most important thing in life is that you are always be yourself. If I should characterize myself I would say i´m a responsible , friendly, open mind and cooperative person. I’m very talkative and loquacious; one can talk to me about everything. My friends said that I am a sensitive and talkative person. Fist I am shy, but I just get to know people. People should be real , because I do not like fake persons.
There are lot of reasons, because I applied for 1,5 terms in England. . I am interested in new things like other cultures, new sports and another schoolsystem. I find Englands culture really interesting and the landscape is really, really wonderful. Last summer I went with my class to Eastbourne for fife days, so I know what it mean to live in a hostfamily. I have read a lot about the United Kingdom , because the British People and the culture are really faszinating.
I always wanted to go for a half year to England and I hope my dream will come true.
Warm regrads from Germany,
