Dear Host family
I’m very grateful that you are thinking about to host a young person. It would be great if you’ll give me the opportunity to live in your family for one high school year.
My name is Lisa Grasser. I am 15 years old and live outside a historical and touristical town called Watercastle in Bavaria. It is in the south part of Germany. Watercastle is in the near from munich and an old medieval town with lot of restaurants and wonderful old houses. A town almost visited by American, European and even Asian people.
To get to know me better I am going to tell you something about me, my family and my life in Germany:
I am 1.64 m tall and have brown hair and green – brown eyes. I am a very open, polite, responsible and attentive person and get to know with pleasure new things. In my free time I meet friends, listen to music, go to the cinema, go to the gym, schwimming, ride a bike and go shopping. My favourite singers are Rihanna, lil wayne, Chris Brown, Justin Bieber and Keri Hilson.
I live with my family in a big house with a great garden and with a wonderful view at the Mountains, all together with my 45 years old mother and my father Alois 40 years old. They have an Bavarian inn. My brother Christopher, 20 makes a schooling to the Banker and and likes going to the gym. We all have a close relationship. If someone has a problem we can talk to everyone of our family. We often go out to eat, go shopping, watch movies, grilling, drive to a see and like to travle.
At home I have to tidy up my room, dispel the dishwashers or vacuuming the house.
Besides we have got one other family member namely one black dog his name is Rocky and he is nine years old. An many fishes in our pond.
My best friend is Melanie she is fourteen years old. We like to go shopping together, go to the cinema, swimming or playing wii. A other good friend from me is Vivian, 15 . We like to make something with other people together, cooking and watch movies.
I’m a student in 10th grade.In our school we have almost every hour of the same teacher. In my class 20 are students. My favourite subjects in the school are sport and english. I think the German school system is quite different to the American one: School starts at 8 a.m. and usually ends at 1.00 p.m., except once a week we have sport afternoon. Where do we play ball, run, leichtatlethic and various other sports do. And every lesson takes 45 minutes and there are two breaks of ca. 20 minutes, one between the second and third lesson, the other between lesson four and five.
Spending a year in America has been my dream for many years, I would know more about the culture and the peopleof the United States, wants to speak better English and get to know the everyday life from the American. And would get to know new people.
