Host family letter

Hallo,

Dear host family,

first of all I want to thank you for giving me the opportunity to spend a year in your country with you and to be a part of your family. I hope after you have read the following letter you will know more about my personality and to introduce myself, my family, the things I normally do, the place where I live and things like that.
My name is Jade and I will be 15 on 13th April 2014. The place where I lived called Essen which is a big city in the west of Germany. My friends describe me as a calm, courteous, cooperative, amicable person and I am always aim to do everybody to make a happiness. But first I am a little bit shy and reserved but as my best friend say: “You are like a flower which open up slowly. As some people, too, I have my ups and downs. At one day I am happy and talk my head off and at the next day I am quiet and talk just so much as I must. But especially I am interested in to learn something or someone new.
Now I am going in the 9th grade. Because my school is just two kilometres from my house away, I drive by bike to it every day. Just when it is winter I go by feet to it. My school is an old convent school. First it was a gymnasium just for girls but now boys can go in the 5th grade. But in that in the other age-groups there are still just girls so my circle of friends mostly consists of them.
My family existes of my mum Sonja (), my dad Thomas (49) and my brother Christian (17). My parents live apart and inasmuch my father works all day long I am at my mother the during day and the half of the week. She lives in a house with a garden and my father had a little flat near. My brother is two years older than me and he still goes to school. He is very sportly and really clever so he always helps me if I have a question at my homework. Real all my family is sportly because we often drive by bike at the weekend and in my Easter, Summer and sometimes in my Autumn holydays My father, my brother and me drive to Australia to go hiking or to go climbing. With my mother, my brother and me make really long bicycle tours. For example last Summer we drove to Berlin.

Although my school day is very long I go to the boy scouts and climbing every week. My school offers a support for homework to the children who are in the 5th and 6th grade. Since some weeks I am one of the adviser and I was really surprised how much fun It makes me to attend and to help the children. Now I have registered me for giving private lessons and I hope I will be accept. My big passion is to grow plants and flowers. I love animals but my parents and my brother are against pets and so I needed an alternative. Plants just need a little bit water, light, time and much love in order to grow and I love it to see how they grow and form fruits. That is whay my favourite school subject is Biology after Math. Indeed backing is my second passion but inasmuch I don´t have so much time I am really happy, that I am responsible for cooking at my father. When I am at my mother I have other duties. I must clear the dishwasher out, take the waste out and I must help my mother at the garden.
If I have boredom I often do creative things like crocheting oven cloth, shaping soap stones or other things. The music is a part of my live. I always hear music. It makes me happy and it jolly me if I am sad. The kind of music which I hear is often pop and rock.
In school I learn English and Latin and lately I have begun to learn Spanish at home but it is a really difficult language and I don´t know if I learn it when I teach it by myself.

Will I have children and a beautiful man in my future or a great job with a big chequer? I don´t know. I always concentrate on that which is now. At the moment that is my year abroad and my ABI.

Two years ago a good friend of me died about a terminal illness. It last a half year till I passably handled it. Every evening I say her good night and then I have the feeling that she is in my nearness. That makes me happy and appease me.

This year is a big change for me. Since I was 8 or 9 years old I wanted to do this exchange. I would like to learn more about another country and the culture there. I want to meet other people with another perception of the world and I would like to live in another surroundings. I want to experience more about me and to speak another language better. I want to be a part of something new for me.
I know to have an exchange student is much work but I think to have a person from another continent could show you and all around you another culture and another way of live. You can learn from me and I can learn from you. I am sure I wouldn´t forget this year and you.
I am very exciting and glad to see and meet you, the different culture and the country. I hope you enjoyed my letter and getting an association who I am.

Your sincerely,
Jade:+1:
