nach vielem basteln ist nun dieser Gastfamilienbrief entstanden. Im nächsten Jahr hab ich vor in die USA zu gehen. Mal sehen, ob ich mit eurer Hilfe meinen Traum verwirklichen kann. Zähle auf euch und vielen Dank schon mal im Vorraus für eure Beiträge! 
Dear host family,
First of all I want to thank you taking time to read my letter. In the following lines I want to tell you something about me. My name is XXXX and I was born on the XXth of January 19XX in Germany. I live in XXXX, a small town in Lower Saxony together with my parents and my smaller sister. We live in a house with a small garden, near the centre.
My little sister XXXX is 16 years old and still goes to school. When we were younger, I always looked after my sister. My parents go work during the day. My mother works in an office and my father is an employee. If the sun is shining my sister and me drive unicycle or go skating for example.
Our family dog (Charly, a Poodle) live with my grandparents in our nearby resident. I visit my grandparents almost daily.
I go with Charly and my friends in the nature very often. I think that is missing to me in my year as Aupair.
My friends are named Mandy, Tanja and Juliane. My best friend Mandy is a very funny person and I have a lot of fun with her always. We are very happy if we can together cook or to do a barbecue with several people. I often travel with her, and we spend a lot of time together. My friends describe me as a happy, reliable, self-assured, aboveboard and animal-loving.
I have passed my driver’s license in January 2005. My own car is a Fort fiesta and I drive almost daily. I have experience with driving in snow and I am also experienced with driving at the motorway.
My apprenticeship as a nurse I am doing in the hospital of the city XXXX, this is 45km away from XXXX. I have chosen this occupation because I liked working with people and children. Beginning of the year I took worked a month on a newborn station. In this time I have learned a lot about babies, for example: to swaddle, to bathing or bottle-feed a baby. I think, I work after my Aupair of a children-station or of a surgery-station in a hospital.
In XXXX I live in a flat with Tanja, who is also doing an apprenticeship as a nurse. My daily routine is very different, because I am working in shifts. In regular, I work 7 hours a day and begins everyday at 6 am. We have our exams in 6 months and I am a little afraid of that.
Anyone who knows me knows that I am very happy if I can travel or spend my holiday’s foreign countries, especially the US fascinates me. Unfortunately I had no opportunity to travel outside of Europe. So now I want to use my unique chance! In the US in the year I would like to learn a lot about the country and the people. If I’m travelling in Europe I travel to Spain mostly. Spain is also a country which I like very much.
In my leisure time I go swimming very much. To read is fun, too, but I am enjoying is to spend time with Mandy and my friends at most (I am read at the moment more school books!). I do not really have a favourite book, but I love novels. Sometimes I read all day long if the book is exciting.
I like to listen to music and I love electronic music. From time to time, I also like to party with electronic music because dancing is also one of my hobbies. Otherwise I still like the music of Amy Winehouse, Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Mia.
I would like to thanks for welcoming in your family for one year now and giving me the chance to know how an American family lives. I hope I will become a member of the family, I can be a big sister for one year and I can improve my English. I want to get to know different cultures and to gain new experiences.
I am an upfront with others and I am willing to learn new things, I was very pleased if I could do a year as an Aupair.
