Dear host family,
my name is xy. With this letter I would like to introduce myself. But first of all thank you for taking the time to read my letter.
I’m xy years old and a very curious person who likes to make new experiences and to meet people from other cultures.
I live in Germany, near xy together with my parents and my two brothers in a nice house with a nice garden. My mother works in a kindergarden and my dad is an engineer. My little brother is xy. He is xy years old and my older brother is xy. He is xy years old.
I attend the 10th grade. At my high school I learn the languages English, Spanish and Lateen. My favorite subjects are politic and sports.
My day normally starts at 6:45am. My school starts at 7:50am and ends between 12:30pm and 5:30pm. I drive always by bike to school
I have to spend a lot of school, because we have a lot of subjects this year.
In my spare time I do track & field. My favorite discipline is running about the middle and the long distance. Another hobby is doing something with music. I play piano and horn, but I do it only for fun. I like also singing and doing something with friends.
I hope during my time in South ‘Africa I will make new experiences and I will improve my English. I am also very interested seeing the landscape and the world of animals in South Africa. But the most important thing for me is the exchange with very nice people from another culture. I will get to know you and your family and to meet new friends at school. I want to experience the foreign school system and the daily life. During those three months I would like to experience the best time of my life. As well I would love to have fun with your family and my classmates at school.
Finally I want to thank you so much for giving me the chance to spend time with you, improve my English skills and learn about your everyday life and your culture.
